This is the bit I dont get.....

I thought it was clear what happened after Farke was sacked.
They absolutely had a plan in place.

The club/Webber has a list of names of coaches they would approach if Farke ever left or was sacked.
Dean Smith was clearly on that list in a very high position.

At the "time" Farke was sacked, Dean Smith was employed by Aston Villa so clearly there was zero point in approaching Managers who would not leave a better position to come here.
We approached managers who were either available or its possible they would come here from their present position.
Once Dean Smith became available, he became the highest rated manager on the list. (that was available)
All this nonsense about "no plan" when Farke was sacked is just silly. Maybe it will all come out in the end.
