I think it’s because hope/expectation was higher. In hindsight some of the warning signs were there - eg saying we were keeping the door open to Skipp until the last minute showed that we weren’t bringing in a replacement for that position early doors (and in the end we never did)

I don’t think I’ve even enjoyed most of our wins as they’ve just felt too little too late
