I think that after the last relegation where we spent very little and expected relegation this season we spent something like £40m plus Gibson and Giannoulis, being realistic I don’t think fans expected much more than say 15th but I think we were all expecting quite a bit more than bottom virtually all season, just 21 points and probably conceding over 80 goals . Unfortunately, only one of the summer singing has looked good business- others may well prove to be great in the championship but presumably they were not bought for that purpose? The big problem was not replacing Skipp and Tettey, instead we got 2 wingers and a striker who should not have been priority. I may be wrong, but didn’t we sign Normann knowing he had that hip problem which has restricted his game time. Dowell has shown he could have replaced Emi had been given a decent chance.
