All of this sounds so much like self congratulation, which after being quite so 20th is pretty ill judged if you ask me. And all off the back of “we’re going into battle armed to the teeth, not like last time” language, before and during the season. “No way we’d settle for 17th”. “Had to sack Daniel as he was underperforming quite so badly with the awesome squad I have assembled”. Hmmm.

Plus “I’m only here because Delia begged me”. And “none of you ignorant fools are qualified to judge me”. And “going up a load of mountains is far more important than anything else to me”. Are the main messages I take away.
