Are people really making that choice?

Watching a non league game of football live and sitting at home watching the premier league on your tv are two completely different things. People go and watch non league football because they like an afternoon out. They don’t go because there is no possible alternative to getting a football fix. They don’t go because of the quality of the football. They go because it’s live sport and it’s a sociable thing to do. Would they really change their behaviour because the premier league was on sky? A quick google and you can find a free stream of a premier league match on a Saturday. I really don’t think it would make a difference in this day and age
