They could set up a third part entity, use that to invest in the club and make the club pay the entity back while diluting the shares of others and increasing their own holding.
Of course they would not do that because they actually care about the club.

The alternative is finding a Roman Abramovich or MBS type investor which means leaving your scruples at the door knowing its almost certainly shady or dirty money.
