When I was young I wanted to retire to the flats next to the county ground in Southampton

Now long gone, though they are planning to build houses as part of the next development at the Ageas Bowl. As it is I am two bus rides or a taxi away so probably won't go much if at all this year, but maybe once I retire in a few years I'll start going again. It is perhaps the only journey I miss having the car, and for 10 days a year, not worth it.

To be honest, with the improving coverage on YouTube in the last couple of years it is more comfortable to watch on line, there are so few days when the weather is really spot on for comfort at cricket
