Seems to be a trend these days…

For senior management to have an executive assistant, (as well as a PA), that shadows them, helping with their duties and attending meetings etc but also learning management skills themselves.

Not suggesting that’s what this is, but I wouldn’t dismiss the potential value of this experience (depending on what the role is of course) to someone that wants to be in the business side of football.
