Godfrey & Maddison succeeded at first team level and were then sold onto bigger clubs for a profit. This model is as old as football.

I am talking about the new [Chelsea / Man C] model, where players who have not made it to first team level are moved sideways or downwards, but still for a profit. This is what we are struggling with.
