We've been to York for a few mini-breaks recently, it's a friendly city and as others have

said, similar to Norwich. big age range of people on a night out and bars/restaurants/pubs to suit everyone (sometimes in the same place.

On a selfish note, when you go to visit there's loads to do depending on what you like. Loads of history, the wall walk, the Minster, Clifford's Tower, the National Railway Museum and the Moors/Dales/Coast a shirt drive away.

Don't know anything about Loogabarooga though sorry.
