What is he studying?

I work closely with Loughborough University. I think Loughborough itself is deeply dull. Best bit is that it is close to the peak district. It is totally dominated by the University - which is absolutely world class in many fields. Very strong sports side to Student life there.

As others have said, York is a bit like Norwich. I've not spent a lot of time there.

I guess if I had to choose between the two Loughborough a less interesting town but better University vs York nicer place but Uni not as highly regarded.
