Indeed . And that's when English football faces the crunch

Once they do that there's no real prestige in the Prem. And once that happens the bulk of the TV money goes with it (you don't pay good money to show reserve teams - look at the current status of the FA Cup for this very reason). And then there is no reason whatsoever for any of the foreign billionaires who have bought English clubs in the past 20 years to put in another penny of their money, because none of the things they hoped to gain from it (money or glory) will be possible. Clubs will have to be self-sufficient or they are buggered.
