One problem is football is so short term focused

We didn’t play 433 in the last champs season because we thought (knew) that Emi would get us back up. Jobs saved, KPIs hit, bonuses all round.

We could have sold Emi and rebuilt last year but we might not have got up and at least one of Farke and/or Webber would have been sacked for it.

Farke got the sack when he did because we prioritised the short term goal of trying to survive this season (and ultimately if it wasn’t him taking the fall it’d have been Webber)

Smith won’t be given three years to fix things so we may well have a new manager by Christmas.

And on and on.
