Yeah, commentator called that flat wrong!

It was as clean a hit as you ever will see. The shot from behind shows the ball barely spinning as it goes through the air, as he struck it right on the sweet spot.

That was generally all sorts of epic though.

- EVERYONE ON THE PITCH! Subs, coaches, kit staff....EVERYONE ON!!
- No 23 visibly welling up with tears after the goal.
- some absolute loon in the crowd looked like he was standing up on the fence above the drop down to the tier below, shirt off, giving it the full 9 yards.
- sophisticated Italian dude in svelte leather gloves looking like someone had just served the wrong pasta with this sauce.

Absolutely superb.
