Agreed. Such a likeable guy and a good batsman as well but can't be relying on him as

one of our 2 or 3 main bowlers on overseas tours.

Just seems so much less effective than he does at home. Its strange.

That said in one of the recent tests they said that after the same number of tests, Anderson's record in tests abroad wasn't much better than Woakes. I would guess though that was over a shorter period of time and Jimmy was younger at that point.
