Seemingly, the dismissed staff are entitled to compensation. This has be speculatively put at circa 365 days wages in some papers.
How much less would the new workers have to cost to make that a viable option.
Doesn't it come down to the compensation being due after a protracted legal battle. So shift to lower cost staff now and pay a large lump sum at some point in the future is the company has somehow managed to not go bust by then?
