Probably very few on here remember Bill Alley

An Australian at the end of his career with Somerset when I started going to cricket, he went on to be a first class and test umpire. We used to refer to Bill Alley and his Magic Finger, we were convinced it was spring loaded and sound activated by a hearty appeal from the bowler.
