Worthy's handling of the media

this year has been pretty rank-rotten.

I don't think it's been helped much by the local press' reluctance to rock the boat. By not focusing any criticism the result is that he's been asked to comment on a wide range of widely differing criticism.

On the one hand there are some very well argued complaints on tactics, player transfers etc.

On the other hand there's been a lot of mindless abuse.

Not trying to defend the man,'cos he's made a real hash of his PR this year, but some of the criticism on here is well out of hand.
