I just don't think that there are many good managers out there.
Worthington's record, given the resources at his disposal, is pretty good.
We have decent players, great fans (although I do think that this season has seen a rise in Wolves-esque wingeing), great facilities
BUT
we don't have a megabucks backer (like Reading, Crystal Palace, Wigan etc.).
Delia has bailed out the club & I'm not slagging her off (if she left we'd seriously struggle), but to argue that we've got the same spending power as many clubs in this division is just wrong. We've had more money to use this season, and Nige hasn't spent it all that well, but comparatively he's still done well (we've attracted better players with Nigel at the helm than at possibly any other time in the club's history - Earnshaw, Hucks, MacKensie, retaining Green for so long).
It's been a crud season, but Worthington is still a decent manager.
