It is impossible

The only way they'd ever get into the top 6 is to get a hugely impressive group of 6 youngsters come through at the same time - and for one year, maybe two, they'd have a real run and shot at winning stuff. But then they'd leave and they'd go back to mid-table - or even flirting with relegation.

I think every team of the ilk of Charlton/Fulham etc are living on borrowed time and will go down quite easily within the next 5 years as long as the promoted teams get their acts together.
