He should count himself fecking lucky to have had the chance to play in Farke’s 4-2-3-1. I can’t think of many (any?) times in the last 25 years he would have got a proper chance other than under Farke. There’s no guarantee he’d have got anywhere had he had to struggle up from league 1, it just wouldn’t suit him very well.

If he’s not good enough to play any position other than out to one side in a 4-2-3-1 he’s going to have a very limited career. He needs to take a bit of responsibility in working out what he needs to do to work in some other positions and other formations.
