I couldn't agree less

A wedding is a wonderful moment of public commitment. You make really serious, solemn promises which (hopefully) you really mean. They are perhaps the most important words you'll ever utter in your life. And you do all this standing before your family and best friends, who are (hopefully) filled with joy at the choice you're making. If you have faith, you believe that you are making these promises and this incredible commitment before God as well.

I think weddings are great. Unless you think that they won't last and/or that the people making the promises don't really mean them, in which case they feel hollow.
