Thing is, Jan is a terrible time to buy

The sensible thing to do really, would be to sell now and keep the cash to use in Summer. But that would go down very badly with the fans for obvious reasons.

Even if we did sell and spend some cash in Jan, we'd be extremely unlikely to improve the squad sufficiently. It's got far too many weak points to be fixed in a single Jan transfer window within the budget available to us.

Factoring all that in, I find it easy to see why we might not do much, or any business.
