You are correct. Almost all of us thought the signings were good ones

Hindsight is wonderful. Personally I still think the signings were fine (though we should have pushed the boat out a bit for that Celtic defender and a defensive midfielder (Billing I guess). Problem is now that confidence - the same thing that won us two Championships - is totally shot.
