So you think if he left we wouldn't replace him?

Sadly I suspect it's time to move on anyway. Given his age, the fact that we'll never be able to afford the quality of players required to provide him the service he needs at Prem level and that his all round game simply doesn't include many of the qualities a relegation battling team needs from a striker.
Best to make that style transition in the more forgiving Championship than wait until we are (hopefully) promoted again and then try to change approach (as we half-heartedly have this year without any preparation at all for it last season)
