Sections of the crowd singing “we’re f**king s**t”

“How s**t must you be? You’ve only scored 2” (this was during the Arsenal game).

Proper motivation there.

This was the team (well, some of them) which was playing with such serene confidence last season. I (and the rest of us) can see clearly that Gilmour, Kabak, Lees-Melou, Gunn, Normann, Sargent and currently also Tzolis have not improved the team and have arguably made it worse. I have to admit, I am guilty of shouting out in frustration when one or several or them commit another blunder which wouldn’t have happened last season. If there’s going to be blame anywhere, it’s got to be shared. Poor recruitment, poor planning, poor support, poor tactics, poor decisions.

Thing is, what’s the solution? We have these players and manager now. There’s no imminent change in our financial circumstances (although an implosion of the Premier League hegemony would be my preference) and we can’t undo our results. Personally I don’t enjoy watching us any more. I can’t see any way out of this.
