Chatting with a couple of quite moral Toons fan mates

I have been impressed at the mental gymnastics they have performed to effectively shrug and say they're happy for their club to be owned by people who, in any other part of their life they would condemn wholeheartedly.

It comes down to whether you are happy to 'demand' that someone bankroll your hobby, on the basis that other people do and you don't want to miss out or have them be mean to you.

(are they really, at heart, wusses, and afraid to argue an alternative narrative?)

Gobsmacking that in the wake of ESL people would be ashamed of us self-funding. But hey, it's grand being a hypocrite in exchange for mid table Prem mediocrity.

Having that view is fine. Just wish they'd own it.
