I disagree with your first statement, but if that is the case then so be it.

It's not particularly realistic for NCFC to be competing in Europe and winning trophies each season, however for me the next best option isn't simply just *being* in the Premier League.

As a fan, I want my club to win games of football. Yes, the higher level of league the better. However, for me the best / most enjoyable seasons tend to be those when we win more games than we lose and if that is in the Champs, L1 or L2 then that doesn't particularly matter to me.
