this squad is actually good enough
Look at the defence :
1) Kabak - didnt look out of place at liverpool
2) Aarons - coveted by champions league clubs
3) Oma - excellent performances for RoI and us
4) Krul - easily a prem goalie
5) Giannoulis - the only weak link
But in every season of Farke we have conceded hatfuls of soft goals. He cant marshall a defence, despite the fact we have upgraded the personnell every year. The goals sap confidence, and then force him into absurdly defensive formations/team selections to stem the goals which then stymies our attacking play. Until he can coach a back 4 to at least a respectable championship level we are totally sunk. Its a management problem.
