But my word we look really quite clueless. I don’t know what formation we’re playing, I don’t know how we’re setting up, I don’t know what the plan is to score goals, or keep them out. Our philosophy has just gone out the window and we look rudderless. Some of that criticism has to sit with the manager.

But. We just look miles short up front though. Wingers that can’t beat a man or even retain the ball. Of our strikers we have one who scored any goals at all, and we’ve stopped playing in a way that gives him chances of the sort he needs. Our other two strikers look like they should be on loan at a league one club to be honest.

If you asked most people to name our two best attacking players, they would probably say Gilmour and Cantwell and neither of them is getting any minutes. Should they be? I don’t even know any more.
