Ol' thirsty has raised the spectre of what I found most offensive in Webber's words

Stuart Webber has bought the narrative about us 2 years ago. He's now saying "we didn't give it a go".

Really foolish I think.

I was always under the impression we'd given it a go in our own way... Rewarded players with new contracts, gave opportunities to young players and players who had never played in the Prem to show their level. Invested in structural things to ensure the long-term survival of our club. We gave it a go on our terms.

I still actually believe that, but Webber accepting the narrative...

Even worse, it means he's gone against his own ignore the noise mantra.
