Already too late

Our goose is cooked. Squad is simply not good enough. Given the run we’re on this season, never mind if you roll in the last Prem season too, you would need to be deluded to think we’re going to finish anywhere other than bottom and in all likelihood cut fat adrift.

Players we have with clear and realistic Prem aspirations will have already checked out and be on to their agents. None of them will bust a gut or risk getting injured. Quite a few will already be regretting ever joining and having this s**t show on their CV.

Same thing applies to potential recruits, both players and managers. Who would want to be part of this? Unless you think being part of a good Champs team next season is going to improve your situation, you’d have zero interest.

Sorry to sound negative, I think this is just the reality.
