we won 6-0.

He's basically never played badly for us in any position whenever he's played so I'm really not sure on what basis he's been written off as an option for the midfield.

Not saying he's the messiah but he was signed as a central midfielder with stats which showed he has a vey good reading of the game and game intelligence which, frankly, you can see when he plays as he never panics and makes decent decisions.
