I really don’t think managers think that far ahead

If we offered a manager a £1 million bonus for keeping us up we wouldn’t be short of applicants. Does a manager who is currently out of work really worry about Stuart Webber’s position at the club or what the likely budget will be next season? I think they’d look at the package offered, the squad and if they thought they could have a crack at staying up and that’s it
