we're known as the club who doesn't even try to be competitive in the Prem.

It's also potentially damaging if we've signed a load of duds on relatively high (for us) wages, who we are stuck with for a few years.

Our better players like Aarons and Cantwell will also demand to leave. Like we lost Buendia and Godfrey as a result of relegation last time; making it harder for us to establish ourselves in the Prem.

And there is the psychological damage. I'm sure that our poor start this season is partly due to Farke and the players having a hangover from our last season in the PL, and not having confidence in their ability and decisions at this level.
