Hmmm, but that's rather a sweepiong statement isn't? I should imagine that for some players, the "arm round the shoulder" approach works but for others, the "kick up the arse" approach is better motivation.

Given that we've won our last 6 home games with the crowd on the players backs, doesn't that point towards a number our players needing more stick than carrot?
