We're s**t.
Put McVeigh in the team. Win 5 in a row.
Drop McVeigh. We're s**t.
Put McVeigh in the team. Start winning again.
McVeigh gets injured. We're s**t.
McVeigh back in the team, we win our first away game for ages.
Enough said really. And a lot of the time he hasn't been in the team has been because the manager has got his head up his own arse, whereas Safri's was mostly down to injuries and a preference to playing for Morocco.
Also with Safri, it can't help him that he observes Ramadan. Obviously he has a right to do so and I would never say anyone should be stopped from doing do, but it can't help a professional athlete to not eat or drink anything during the hours of sunlight, especially during a game (admittedly probably only first half).
