Fine margins

So. Far our season has been a disaster but really it boils down to 45 minutes against Watford.

If we’d beaten Watford I would be slightly disappointed not to have 1-2 points from the other games we lost and pre-season I would have wanted 2 more yesterday.

If we’d won that second half we’d be above Watford and given the games we’ve played not in too bad a position at all…...

I’m seeing really strong signs of improvement but
1) still sloppy mistakes that would’ve cost us against a better team
2) not sure how to integrate cantwell, gilmour, rashica and tzolis who on paper should be 5 of our best 5 or 6 players
3) seriously weak up top. Pukki doesn’t look the player he was. Still good to have around but not to be sole striker in squad. Sargent looks like he could do the “heskey job”. Idah not sure he’s top champs level yet

I think the defence can help but I do worry about this. Gutted that if we go down we won’t even get a few for losing Normann who has been immense….

I do think we can turn it round but we need to give it a real go. Brentford we’re so unlucky against Chelsea. We need to go one better.

Watching MOTD Liverpool were amazing and salah really unplayable. Watford were shocking - it makes our defeat even more painful. Leicester could have had 8-9 against United. Buendia looks seriously out of sorts.

I do think there’s all to play for. If we can stay in touch until January and sign a striker or get tzolis playing (and he’s up to scoring) I think we can do it
