Interesting to contrast both teams 5-3-2s. I thought it looked like a well-drilled side (Brighton) against one learning their way. They stretched their back 3 a lot more, particularly down the left with Burn getting forward plenty to create overloads.
Our 3 CBs are all big barstards but theirs were f**king enormous!
Yet again, as at Burnley, there were opportunities to get in behind with a bit more pace. The ball clipped in to the channel behind the CBs caused them problems and Sargent was great at getting there first but then lacked the pace to kick on and get through on goal, getting closed out. Let's see Tzolis please Daniel (you're always the answer when you're on the bench)!
I thought the midfield 3 did better than at Burnley and showed a bit more attacking adventure. There has to be a better mix to be successful there though. Normann looks the best of the 3 going forward, which shouldn't be the case as the main holding player.
I missed the Josh miss as I needed the toilet! Heard a cheer that wasn't loud enough to be us scoring so presumed Brighton had. I was therefore doubly relieved.
As a very rare visitor to Carrow Road, I loved the match! The pre-match OTBC was emotional. The Barclay flags look more impressive on TV. First half atmosphere was a bit flat but I thought it was excellent in the second half with all sides joining in. Shame we couldn't find a winner to turn it up even more.
Woodforde's Wherry is a decent beer option.
I should go to more matches because I'm very much still in the fans are back honeymoon period when I'm there, versus doom and gloom watching on a stream.
