Depends on timing

If DF left at a point where we had a realistic chance of survival, he wouldn’t be an awful stop-gap / ‘keep us up or free to go’ type appointment.

But realistically we wouldn’t fire DF until we were well beyond the point that Bruce would fancy his chances of keeping us up. And at that point we would need a longer term / champs level appointment. Which, oddly enough, would be Farke.
