I doubt there's anyone out there that would want to buy us and be so wealthy that's we'd never have to worry about relegation. That's not realistic.

And then when we are relegated, similarly, that person wouldn't plug the gap that relegation would leave, particularly if the playing budget is bigger and relying on our benefactor.

Relegation would therefore leave us in financial peril, as it would now if we gambled our future on survival. The only difference would be that we would have a better chance of extending our stay in the PL for a few seasons before it ended in relegation. Which it always will.
