The Government is to publish a white paper later in 2021 with measures under consideration including to ban football clubs from displaying betting firms on the front of their shirts, and limits on stakes and jackpots, although a wholesale ban on gambling commercials during sports matches is unlikely. The Government has reduced the maximum stakes at fixed-odds betting terminals from £100 to £2. Any other changes are unlikely before 2023.
