Thoughts on some of the players

Gunn - he’s not as good as TImmy, confidence looks low. A shorter version of McGovern
Mumba - he’s a decent enough youngster, wouldn’t want to be relying on him too much this season
Andrew O - good player, looks a future star. Asking a lot if he’s to be a mainstay of our defence this season.
PLM - he improves the squad but not the type of signing that’s going to turn a poor side into anything other than a poor side. Solid enough player. Not dissimilar to Rupp but a bit more of a physical presence.
Rupp - He works hard, neat and tidy, doesn’t deserve the flak he gets. Offers very little going forward. A bit like PLM, isn’t going to directly influence very many games
Tzolis - Raw, clearly has potential but didn’t make many good decisions tonight. Unfortunate that we’re pinning a lot of hope on him
Idah - He really needed to go out on loan this season in the championship. Might well be a v good player in there, but we’re not seeing it when he plays for us at the moment. Didn’t use the ball well enough today. Needs games and goals, and that’s going to be hard for him this season
Gilmour - struggling to find his feet. Clearly a good player, but a lot of stray passes tonight with one notable moment of quality second half when running at the Liverpool defence.
