Daniel Farke is about to speak to the media for his pre-Liverpool press conference.
-------------------------------------------------------------
DF: Saturday evening wasn't nice and Sunday was even worse. It always helps to have the next session on the pitch. We've been self-critical and we definitely have to improve our defending behaviour. Today we're in a better mood and ready to go.
DF: I expect a highly motivated and top class Liverpool side. The most important topic for us is to improve the defending of our own goal.
DF: Zimmermann will miss this game due to his ankle problem. Placheta is still on the way to recovery from long-term COVID symptoms. Cantwell will miss the game due to personal reasons.
DF: It's my task to speak with the young players and make sure they know what they have to do to improve. Tomorrow, everyone will be excited to have a proper game and go for it.
DF: We can't go 14 unbeaten games in a row like last season, so we have to be mentally strong.
DF: We are not relegated after 5 games, we are 3 points behind our plan.
DF: The most important topic is to protect the club, the club is always bigger than all of us. I am quite relaxed because the club is on the right path, but I won’t accept relegation.
DF: I always want to stay levelled, I never get too carried away when everyone was praising us and I never get too down. I have to stay analytical and not let emotions take over if you want to lead this club.
DF: We have to accept the pressure, one step of learning is to handle the pressure. At youth level they are praised so much then for the first time in their career they are criticised.
DF: We have a great spirit in our group, fantastic young players filled with potential. They will make mistakes as young players, it is my task to speak to them and show them what they have to improve.
DF: it’s important to stay level, to not get over excited in good moments and not be too down in low moments.
Yes we are disappointed about Watford, it was a setback, but it does not mean we are already relegated.
DF: I haven’t seen Peter in our dressing room but he is right that we have many young players. This is the risk with young players, maybe they lack body language and competitive steel.
DF: We do speak about this and have to improve this, we need to find a good mix of young players and our leaders. Believe me our dressing room is very self critical, we have great leaders. We have enough nastiness and robustness to survive.
DF: Byram update: He is making progress but not back in team training. Sorensen: Was available for Saturday, just a lot of competition in the midfield.
DF: I totally understand this, I wanted to do this to myself because of the goals we conceded. They have the right to boo, I don’t know if it’s fair, we were brilliant at Championship level. Competitive vs Liverpool & Leicester. It definitely doesn’t help.
DF: Does it help? Absolutely not. Not in terms of confidence level. Not for the younger players. Is it helpful. Definitely not. But I understood it. On Fri I wanted to fire up the fans for a big, big game.
DF: But I don't work as a manager on the playstation. I work with human beings. And I know how much it means to Gilmour, to Aarons, to Williams.
DF: I know they will back us against liverpool. I have been here 200 games. They are the most important people who matter. They will be united with us again.

That's all from the boss.
