Liverpool ticket help please

Ok, so secured my usual seat last week for me and MrsAP which will be downloaded on to my membership card.
However, when and friend of mine and I were looking at seats for him (non member), I logged into my account and it is saying I can buy more tickets, IE for him under my ST number. Seems odd but is this correct?
