I have been to many test matches and i am well aware that teams have many support staff

But the fundamental point is that a few of the support staff missing does not mean you can't play a cricket match.

They may prefer to have the support staff there and it may not be ideal for them to be missing but it doesn;t mean that you cannot field a team nor indeed that the team is not capable of playing to the same level, especially at the end of a series.

If they've forfeited the game due to a genuine outbreak in the camp which includes players then fine. But if they have said they won;t play when no players have actually tested positive and also intend to claim a win in the series then i think thats questionable.
