Whether or not he should 'take responsibility' in some sense

(and given that the act was his, of course he must do so) I do not accept that it has anything at all to to with the FA. And if it does ...then where next? And on what basis? What if an act/comment is legal but in some way undesirable/unacceptable? Who decides? What if a player has been a 'climate change denier'? Or an anti vaxxer? Or still is? Or expresses a view which in time becomes outrageous? It's far far beyond the scope of the FA's proper role, and I think it's pretty chilling really. Good luck to today's young; they're going to need it - perhaps best just to smile and keep their mouths shut.
