The loans will go back anyway and I doubt we'd take up the options to buy where we have them (though we might); inevitably we really would lose Todd and Max, probably a couple of others; but we'd still have a top-level squad at Champs level and we have youth coming through thanks to our excellent academy. Then we go again. We have to trust the parachutes will take care of the wages, and there are surely relegation clauses in all contracts by now.
I have no doubt that Webber has this scenario well planned out, as well as the scenario when we finish 17th (higher would be a bonus - though I reckon we might well do better than that; obviously I recognise we might also do worse...) and that's something I couldn't always have said in the past: I think the planning in strategic terms is really good at Norwich now, the investments in the academy and sports science and data-driven scouting and all the rest are paying off and we have good people in the right places.
Honestly one of my bigger worries is that we can't get Webber to stay, but that's for the future.
