I remember watching him play for Stuttgart. They signed him as an 18 year old for a lot of

money, and you could instantly see why. They're not blessed with cash, so they must have been sure with what they were getting.

Incidentally they play the game the same as us now - buy very good prospects, play them for a bit and then sell them on.
