Yesterday's decision was, IMO, given for interfering with an opponent not interfering with play (and nothing to do with impeding... different offence entirely).
With respect to a goalkeeper that can be being in their eyeline (in an offside position) and has no relationship to the possibility of saving the shot/header.
Couldn't be clearer to me but that's viewed through eyes of 15 years of refereeing.
